Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Socialize ("the App") is an iOS application that helps athletes import workout data and turn it into visual infographic cards. We respect your privacy and are committed to processing the minimum amount of personal data necessary.

2. Data We Process

The App may process the following data:

• Workout data from Apple Health — activity type, distance, duration, heart rate, calories burned, GPS route (if available).
• Imported workout files — GPX, TCX, and FIT files uploaded manually by the user. These contain the same types of workout metrics.
• Location (reverse geocoding) — used once to determine the city of your workout based on GPS coordinates. This is processed on-device; coordinates are not sent to any external server.
• Anonymous analytics — app usage events (crashes, screen interactions) via AppMetrica to improve stability and UX. No workout data or GPS coordinates are included.

We do not collect: account credentials for third-party services (Strava, Garmin, etc. — integrations are not yet active), contacts, messages, or photos (except saving the finished infographic at your explicit request).

3. Data Storage

All workout data is stored locally on your device. The App does not have its own cloud storage and does not send your workouts to any external server.

4. Apple HealthKit Access

The App requests read-only access to the following HealthKit data types: Workouts, Heart Rate, Active Energy Burned, and Distance. You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

HealthKit data is never used for advertising, never shared with third parties, and is only used to generate your infographic inside the App.

5. Routes & Location

Location access is used solely to look up the city name for a workout based on its GPS coordinates (reverse geocoding). There is no continuous background location tracking. If you deny location permission, the city field will simply remain blank.

6. Analytics

In the App: We use AppMetrica (by Yandex) to collect aggregated, anonymous usage statistics — crashes and interface events. No personal workout data or GPS routes are sent. Data is processed in accordance with the AppMetrica SDK Agreement.

On the website (socialize-app.com): We use Yandex Metrica to analyze website traffic (page views, traffic sources, button clicks). Yandex Metrica uses cookies. Data is processed in accordance with Yandex's Privacy Policy. To opt out of website tracking, use an ad blocker or browser extension that blocks Yandex Metrica.

Apple provides aggregated download and usage statistics via App Store Connect (Apple Analytics) without the ability to identify individual users.

7. Saving & Exporting

Infographic images you create can be saved to your photo library or copied to the clipboard. These files remain entirely under your control once exported.

8. Age

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always available at this URL (linked from the App's settings screen). The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

10. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data, and to restrict or object to its processing. Since all workout data is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time directly in the App or by uninstalling it. For any other requests, contact us at the email below.
